Winner AIGA whole book award and international book design award (leipzig). In museum of modern art and many other collections.

Based on candid tape-recordings of eight dialogues, this musical/theatrical setting celebrates the poetics of conversation. Sixteen characters, each typecast into their own typographic voice engage first with their dialogue partner, then in various orchestrations with the rest of the cast.
Designed as a score for performance and as a book to be read alone or aloud with others. Said to be the first “artist book” to receive AIGA book award.
