This installation/performance was a collaboration between Jan Baker, Sandra Brownlee-Ramsdale, Jack Ramsdale and myself. We each brought in objects that had resonance as visual objects, and as a sound making devices. We then attached each object from a grid of monofilament suspended from the ceiling down to a hand railing at the entrance of the gallery. Pull a sting and you could lift an object and have it rise or fall into other objects/substances that would produce sound. This functioned both as an “interactive” installation and as a setting for a performance by the four artists. |
